Australian homebuyers preferring fixed home loans

More and more Australian homebuyers are taking out Fixed Interest home loans. There has been 10 interest rate rises in the last five years and another one is on the way in February when the Reserve Bank of Australia has it's board meeting.
Official interest rates are currently at 6.75 per cent with the standard variable home loan rates around 8.57 percent, although there have been some bank products rise in recent weeks due to the global credit crisis.
